Using 'off the shelf' cloud based packages we have created a solution to do all of this and much more.
In this post we are going to look at a small element of the solution; using your Xero accounts package to create cash up sheets which staff members can complete using their phones.

The end result is that each day, the person cashing up will open the Xero app on their phone and be presented with a cash up sheet (as opposed to excel / paper sheets they are currently using). They fill in the sheet on their phone as they are cashing up and the figures can be seen immediately on Xero.
This also saves a huge amount of time for your bookkeeper as it reduces their data entry and speeds up the income reconciliation progress considerably.
You should be able to get much better reporting out of your system so you can start using this information to improve your sales.
